MISSION
My mission in the studio is to always look at my work through the scope of the human element. Humanity provides the context for the shared experience communicated through dance. Directly related to this point, is the basis that my mission is to always strive to ignite a spark of thought in for viewer through this shared humanity.
Often times many artists, in dance or otherwise, loose sight of why and what we are doing. We forget that ultimately the work is what we make of it. We as artists, but fundamentally as persons, prescribe both its value and meaning. In this, we should never hold our work as too precious, but as simply a musing or a incarnated page out of a journal. Sometimes these stray pages make more sense than others. Ultimately, the goal is not to bind, but to collect these pages. This is what directs me to make my mission what it is.
